Hythe Town continued their impressive season by claiming the Kent Senior Cup after overcoming favourites Dartford.

Town’s captain Dave Cook got the decisive goal, his 20th of the season, with a seventh minute penalty at Princes Park last night.

Blue Square South side, Dartford had the chance to draw level, but Adam Green’s penalty was saved by Hythe’s keeper.

Hythe Town boss Scott Porter told the Kent FA website: “I told my players time and time again to keep believing in it, keep believing in it and we just keep believing we can beat these sides.

“It’s just the way we are. It’s the way we roll. Tonight is a massive, special occasion. This is the best night of my life.”

On their way to the final the Ryman One South side beat Erith Town 2-1, Ebbsfleet United 4-1, and Dover Athletic 3-0.
