Hurdler Jack Green is hitting form at the right time after clocking his personal best in his final race before the Olympics.

The 20-year-old from Maidstone who competes in the 400m hurdles came fourth in the final of the Diamond League event at Crystal Palace on Friday, with fellow Brit Dai Greene second.

The world number one in the event, Peurto Rican Javier Coulson who is currently in at his nation’s training base in Canterbury, won the race in a time of 47.78s.

It was a moment to savour for Green as he smashed his PB with a time of 48.60s.

Ashford runner Lisa Dobriskey was also in action in the 1,500m final.

But she finished in a disappointing 7th place with a time of 4.08.83, more than two seconds behind winner Bahrainian Jamal Maryam Yusuf.
