Gillingham take up option to renew deals of young stars.

Goalkeeper Daren Hawkes, defenders Jack Evans, Joe Carter, and Callum Davies, and midfield duo Alex Brown and Tom Brunt have had their contracts extended for another year.
Hawkes gained first team experience this season on loan at Ramsgate and Maidstone United, while right-back Jack Evans made his senior debut in October’s 5-2 win at Torquay.
Davies made three appearances from the bench, while Brown’s debut came as a substitue on the final day of the season in the 2-0 home win over Morecambe.
Brunt gained experience on loan at Ashford United and Leatherhead, and Carter missed most of the season with a broken leg.
