Chris Powell’s side to visit Priestfield in early August.
Gillingham have confirmed their first pre-season game this summer which will see newly promoted Charlton visit Priestfield.
The game takes place on Saturday, August 4, kick off at 3pm. Ticket details will be announced shortly.
The last time the two sides met came in the 2009/10 season in League One, with both ending in draws.
Simeon Jackson ensured a draw for the Gills with a late goal at Priestfield in October 2009, while goals from Dennis Oli, and Andy Barcham secured a 2-2 draw at the Valley.
Chris Powell’s side will be playing Championship football next season after finishing as champions of League One with a mammoth 101 points.
