Former Gillingham loan duo Frank Nouble and Olly Lee have been released by West Ham.

Striker Nouble enjoyed a successful spell at Priestfield where he played 13 games scoring five goals in what is easily his most successful loan period away from Upton Park.

He scored on his debut in the 6-1 win over Hereford, and his initial month’s loan was extended until December, from September.

He has played on loan at West Brom, Swindon, Swansea, twice at Barnsley and Charlton in the last two years, scoring just two goals in all, and failing to make more than eight starts for any of those sides.

He also struggled to break into the Hammers first team, but made 13 appearances and scored one goal.

Midfielder Olly Lee joined the Gills in February this year and went on to make eight appearances before leaving in April. He had previously enjoyed two loan spells at Dagenham & Redbridge.
