A post mortem will be carried out today to determine just how hairdresser Natalie Esack was killed yesterday, in a crime which has shocked the nation.

The violent death rocked Ashford town centre yesterday morning - and makes the front pages of many of the tabloids today.

Natalie Esack, a familiar face in the town centre, was stabbed just after 9.30am at her salon - Esack Hair & Beauty - in the High Street.

Her estranged husband, former Kent Police officer Ivan Esack, 38, remains in police custody this morning being quizzed by officer on suspicion of murder.

He is believed to be a football agent. A website for his business is no longer online.

It is understood he was arrested at the couple’s home in Rosewood Drive about an hour after the incident.

The pair are understood to have recently separated, with Ms Esack moving away from the home.
