Police have issued an efit image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assault of a 47-year-old woman in Ashford.

The woman was walking along Brenchley Close towards the Stanhope ring road when the driver of a parked van is reported to have called out abuse to her.

He allegedly got out of the transit-style flatbed van and tried to kiss the woman. As she tried to get away, the man grabbed hold of her top, before getting back in the van and driving off.

The assault happened between 11am and noon on Friday, January 13.

The man is described as white, aged 55 to 64, stocky build with thinning short, brown hair. He was wearing work boots, light blue jeans and a white t-shirt.

There was a passenger in the van described as white, aged in his 20s with fair, spiky hair and of thin build. There was a cement mixer on the back of the van.

Anyone who knows the man should contact PC Luke Saunders on 01303 289418.
