Eurostar has warned that strike action in Belgium could force it to cancel services next week.
According to the cross-Channel train firm, there is a “strong possibility” Belgian railway workers could strike for 24 hours starting at 10pm on Monday.
Eurostar says it expects the entire Belgian rail network to close if the action goes ahead.
It is advising passengers to and from Belgium on Tuesday to change their travel plans, ask for refunds or exchange tickets for alternative dates.
The 7.34pm from St Pancras to Brussels on Monday will now be terminating in Lille.
The same service the following day is expected to go ahead as planned as it is assumed the Belgian high speed line will re-open at 10pm.
On Tuesday, Eurostar services between St Pancras International, Ebbsfleet International, Ashford International and Paris would operate normally and may make additional stops at Lille.
For travellers between the UK and Lille, some scheduled services would be cancelled while other alternative services would be provided and passengers are advised to check in as normal.
